Her new family came and picked her up today - she will be living in Rock Spring GA with people who really like dogs and who will just dote on her. We contacted a lot of rescues looking for help in finding her a home, and you were the only one to help us out. thank you thank you! We made a small donation to Dog Pack in Minnie Jean's name. Mays December 29, 2010 Hi Guys, Almost 6 years ago I walked up to your pet adoption at PetSmart and fell in love with the perfect dog. He was described to me as psycho and ill tempered, he liked to bite people and had a tendency to turn on you right after giving you the biggest kiss. To me I saw a disheveled little mess of a poodle that was just begging to be loved. When I picked him up I thought "wow I found him - I am not leaving without him" it was then pointed out to me that he only had one eye! I didn't care - it wasn't going to stop me and I kinda liked that he only had one eye. Introduce "Barkley" ( I renamed him Trooper.) I was told that he had be returned several times because he was just down right mean. Well I took him anyway and well it was the BEST decision of my life. I took him home and renamed him Trooper, because lets face he had been through a lot in his short life. Over the coarse of the past 6 years I have been through some really tough times and well the mean little dog that I was warned about kept me company while I cried at night and made life a little more bearable some days. It turned out he didn't bark all that much and as much as he was crazy he loved me like hell and it didn't matter. I have to say that I am glad that I just happened on you that day because it changed my life for the better. I am telling you all of this because I want to say THANK YOU - thank you for rescuing him, for taking care of him, loving him, and most of all bringing him to me. Today has been a very hard day for me - after the most wonderful 6 years I could ever imagine I am without him for the first time. It turns out my little one eyed monster had a heart mumor and I had to say goodbye today. I know that he touched everyone that he ever met and for that I know that some where someone is smiling thinking about the little guy.
